Bloom
A bloom is a semi-finished steel product with a larger cross-section than a billet and is used for producing heavy structural components such as I-beams, channels, and heavy angles. Blooms are required to have strong internal integrity, high surface quality, stable metallurgical composition, and excellent hot-rolling performance. A high-quality bloom ensures optimal structural stability in downstream products and contributes to the durability, load-bearing capacity, and safety of large-scale steel structures.
